Very Very Gold breaks down, refines and reassembles. Everything they do revolves around reconstruction – reconstruction of themselves, the materials and the different projects.
Through their research, development, curiosity and adventurous spirit they want to expand our realm of consciousness. The ambition is to create an alternative universe, where they can erase the boundaries between material and life, and artificial and native.
They are as much pushed by the materials as they themselves are pushing the development of new materials. It’s all about putting together an array of disparate techniques and uniting them as one – combine different worlds and make them speak the same language.
The working process is about finding the materials’ unique qualities and looking at its smallest elements, in order to reach beyond the predictable. Take one trait, piece it together with another and combine that with a third one. At the absolute beginning of a project they always try to find out everything there is to know about it and then thoroughly analyses it. After that they break it down, rebuild it and finally reconstruct it.
Their ideas almost never have any given paths to wander, so in order to reach satisfying results they are constantly forced to develop new techniques, tools and materials.
Very Very Gold runs by Michel Bussien, Nandi Nobell and Farvash Razavi
